Tips for healthy hair
Lets face it, we all want to achieve healthy hair. (I do!) It'd be one less thing to stress over. I have a few tips to share with you that I have learned and have heard from over the years. These tips won't help you get healthy hair within a day, it will take some time, about a month, which is not too bad. It all depends on how healthy or how damaged your hair is.
- I can't stress this enough... Drink lots of water! :D
- When combing you hair, finger comb or use a wide tooth comb. Make sure to comb hair when damp, not when its dripping wet.
- Stop using heat tools for as long as you can. If that doesn't seem to work for you, limit how much heat you apply to your hair.
- When buying hair products, try to stay away from very cheap products. You honestly get what you pay for, so use your best judgement. Try products that are sulfate free, paraben free, etc.
- Use a deep conditioner/ repair mask once a week.
- Use protectant prays or serums, even if you don't use heat tools, the sun is pretty hot on your hair.
- Some products I recommend are Macadamia, Nexxus, Matrix, and Lanza.
- Folic acid and skin, hair, and nail supplements.
- Seal the ends of your hair with hair oils.
- Massage scalp two minutes a day to stimulate hair growth.
- Shampoo hair 3 days a week, try to condition more and co-wash.
- Use hot oil treatments to moisturize scalp.
- Try not to use alcohol hairspray and gel.
- Keep hair in natural state, embrace your natural hair!
- Don't brush through hair when it is dry and tangled. Wet hair and condition hair, air dry and then comb through when hair is damp.
- RELAX!
